Bulgarian for foreigners

Aims of the course are students to be able to use the language in real situations.

Achieved Bulgarian language competence may correspond to level A1 (while leаrning the basic vocabulary and structures) or A2 (while learning in details all structures and words presented in the coursebook).

What is included in coursebook are topics covering various fields of the human activities. Students have the opportunity through presented texts to learn about Bulgarian customs and culture: holidays, drinks, mealtimes, working hours, relations among different generations, gifts, duration of visits, etc.

Tuition is directed mainly to communication rather than writing. Words and structures are studied through dialogues in which students learn how to express agreement, disagreement, excuse and request as well as common ideas such as quantity, time, place, etc., using different language resources.

Inseparable parts of the coursebook and workbook are two CDs (with selected written texts and exercises targeting understanding of the spoken speech) as well as a dictionary including words, phrases and collocations altogether with their corresponding English and Russiаn ones.

Most of the trainings are conducted through English. When we have a group of one nationality, the Bulgarian language could be taught through German, Spanish or Greek.
